Hamraoui, Habib Chawki
Directeur Général ENTV, Algérie. M.HAMRAOUI commença sa carrière comme journaliste et homme de télévision, il est maintenant connu dans le pays pour ses émissions de débats politiques et culturels à grande audience. Il occupa par deux fois la fonction de Ministre de la Communication et de la Culture, en 1992 (il avait alors 30 ans!) et en 1997. Il devint par la suite président du Haut Comité de Coordination des Chaînes Satellitaires Arabes (ASBU), pour deux mandats également. Il a été élu en 2002 président de la Conférence Pe rmanente de l’Audio-visuel Méditérannéen (COPEAM).

Hamed, Hassan Mohamed
Chairman and CEO of the Egyptian Radio & Television Union (ERTU). Before becoming head of the ERTU, Mr Hamed successively founded and directed three channels: the Information Channel Teletext, Nile TV International and Nile Thematic Channels.

Honardoost, Mohammad
Vice - President, communications International Affairs, IRIB-Iran. Mr Honardoost was elected third Vice-President for a three-year term, effective January 2004. He served as Political Deputy of the Presidency between 1981 and 1997, during which he was responsible for the development of electronic media in Iran. Prior to his current post, Mr Honardoost was advisor to the President of IRIB from 1997 - 1999.

Imai, Yoshinori
Executive Editor and international economic journalis t at NHK, Japan Broadcasting Corporation. Mr. Imai has held a wide range of positions such as a correspondent in Washington D.C., New York, and as Bureau Chief in London as well as having anchored several significant news programs and documentaries. Mr Imai assumed the leadership of NHK’s international broadcast as Director-General of inter national planning & broadcasting.

Jabbar, Javed
Pakistan ex-Information and Media Minister (1999-2000). Mr Jabbar was a member of the Senate during 1985-91. In this role he introduced progressive new laws and policies on media freedom and access to public information. Mr Jabbar is founding chair man of the South Asian Media Association, founding convener of the Citizens Media Commission of Pakistan. His published works include topics such as media, culture, international and national affairs and he has written, directed and presented issues for television, radio and cinema.

Khan, Riz
Born in Yemen, Mr Khan moved to England where he progressed to jobs as a BBC reporter, producer and writer, working both television and radio. Khan would later become one of the founding News Presenters on BBC World Service Television News. Riz joined CNN in 1993. He reported world news as a Senior news Anchor for CNN International, and hosted the flagship shows for the network " Q&A – Asia with Riz Khan ". Now Riz Khan is a key on-air figure in international breaking news.

Khanfar, Wadah
Managing Director of Al Jazeera Satellite. In his mid-thirties, Wadah Khanfar has covered the world's hotspots and significant political zones for the Channel since 1997. During the war in Iraq, he reported from Kurdish-controlled territory in the north ; and took over the Baghdad bureau with the collapse of the Baathist regime. Khanfar was successful in re-establishing Al Jazeera's bureau in Baghdad in the wake of Iraq's new political landscape and following the death of one of the channel's correspondents in a US missile strike.

Konaté, Sidiki N’Fa
Directeur de l’Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision du Mali. Professeur d'Université et journaliste, Sidiki N’Fa K onaté a exercé les fonctions de reporter, présentateur de jour naux à la radio et à la télévision, animateur de débats. Il a dirigé le dossier de la libéralisation des ondes et de la création des Radios Privées, en tant que Conseiller Technique auprès du Ministre de la Communication. Mr Konaté est Consultant en Communication et a participé à de nombreuses publications sur les médias et la culture.
