Marinho, José Roberto
Co-Chairman of “GLOBO Organizations”. Mr Marinho started his ca reer as a reporter in 1972, at the News Room of “O GLOBO” newspaper where he became Coordinator of Political and National Editing in 1983. In 1984, he became Programming Director for the FM stations at the Globo Radio Broadcasting System. Currently Mr Marinho co-directs “GLOBO Organizations” which consists of more than 100 companies that employ approximately 24’000 people in Brazil and abroad.

Matlare, Peter
Group Chief Executive, SABC. Mr Ma tlare serves on the Presidential National Commission on Information Society and Development and was recently appointed to the International Marketing Council of South Africa. He has been President of SABA since November 2001, Vice-president of CBA and an executive member of PBI. He holds a Masters degree (University of York - UK) and a BSC (Hons) from the University of Plymouth (UK).

Ockrent, Christine
Christine Ockrent is producer and anchor for programs on France 3 Television, TV5, and for Swedish network MTV. She also chairs the editorial board of METRO International France and is a columnist for several French-language publications. Previously she was editor in chief of the weekly newsmagazine, L'Express. She has had an outstanding career in television, both as producer of documentaries and anchor of the evening news, where she shaped a style as the first female news anchor and editor. She has written nine books and essays.

With businesses ranging from television to Inter net service provision, from insurance to retail, from constr uction to health, Ihlas Holding is one of the main powers leading Turkey's transition from conventional economy to new economy and the country's integration with global markets. Mr Oren is also the founder of TGRT Television, one of the top private networks in Turkey.

Pleitgen, Fritz F.
Director General of the Westdeutscher Rundfunk and Vice-P resident of the EBU. Initially a newspaper journalist, he joined the WDR in 1963 as a reporter for the main news programme. In 1970 he was appointed ARD correspondent in Moscow. He successively directed the ARD Studio in East Berlin, in Washington and in New York. He returned to the WDR in Cologne in 1988 to become Editor-in-Chief of WDR television and head of the politics section. During this period he won great acclaim for his reports on Ger man reunification and the collapse of the Soviet Union.

From 1968 to 1986, Mr. Rabinovitch held various positions with the Canadian Federal Government, successively a s Under Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of Communication, as well as in the Privy Council Office, including the positions of Deputy Secretar y to the Cabinet and Senior Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet for P riorities and Planning.

Rendon, John
CEO of The Rendon Group ( TRG), a global strategic communications consultancy providing communications services to the public and private sector. In the National Security arena, Mr. Rendon has participated in the implementation of strategic information operations related to Panama, including Just Cause (1989) ; Kuwait, Desert Shield and Desert Storm (1990-1991) ; Haiti ; Bosnia ; Kosovo ; Serbia and OEF and now OIF among others. Presently, TRG provides support to the US Department of Defense on the Global War On Terrorism.
