Sakr, Naomi
Specialist in the political economy of communication in the Arab world. Professor Sakr is a consultant on media and development in the Middle East to several international organizations, a lecturer in the Depar tment of Media and Communications at Goldsmiths College and the University of London as well as a Research Associate of the Communication and Media Research Ins titute a t Westminster Univ er sity. Her publis hed work includes Sa tellite Re a l m s : Transnational Television , Globalization and the Middle East (I B Tauris: 2001) and several articles on the rise of Al-Jazeera Satellite Channel and other aspects of media reform in Arab countries.

He is the editor of Mediachannel.org, the world's largest online media issues network. Seva Mboiny, Simon
Directeur de l’Office de Radio-Télévision Publique de Madagascar. M.Seva a commencé sa car rière en 1986, en tant que journaliste à Radio Moscou Internationale. Il fut correspondant à l'Agence de l'Information de Madagascar pour les pays de l'Est, puis directeur de la Radio Nationale Malgache entre 1993 et 1997, avant de devenir Conseiller du Ministre en 1998.

Sloterdijk, Peter
Philosophe allemand. Son livre "Critique de la raison cynique" passe pour le livre philosophique de langue allemande le mieux vendu depuis la deuxième guerre mondiale. Avec son ouvrage majeur "Sphère 1" et "Sphère 2", il a placé de nouveaux jalons dans le débat sur la globalisation. Il a été traduit dans de nombreuses langues européennes. Il a donné des cours comme professeur invité à Paris, Zürich, Vienne, Francfort et New York.

Somavia, Juan
Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Mr Somavia is a national of Chile and between 1968-1973 he held several senior government posts.
From 1990 he was the Permanent Representative of Chile to the United Nations in New York until assuming his current position as Director-General of The International Labour Organization in March 1999.

Tallawy, Mervat M.
Executive Secretary of the UN Economic & Social Commission for Western Asia. Ms. Tallawy’s distinguished career in foreign affairs and public service includes service as Secretary -General of the National Council for Women in Egypt, Minister for Insurance and Social Affairs of Eg ypt, Ambassador to Japan and Austria, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, and as Chief Negotiator of the Egyptian Delegation to the Middle East Peace Conference in the early 1990s.

Tharoor, Shashi
Shashi Tharoor, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information. Mr Tharoor has served the United Nations since 1978 and led the Department of Public Information since January 2001. Born in London in 1956 and educated in India and the United States, Mr. Tharoor, who has worked for refugees, in peacekeeping, and in the Office of the Secretary- General, is also the author of eight books and the recipient of several journalism and literary awards.

Tisseron, Serge
Psychiatre et psychanalyste, docteur en psychologie, directeur de recherches à Paris X-Nanter re et directeur de collection chez Ar mand Colin. Il a publié une vingtaine d’ouvrages personnels. Il a été chargé en 1997, par le Ministère de la Culture, le Ministère de la Famille et le Ministère de l’Education nationale, d’une recherche de trois ans sur l’impact des images violentes chez les enfants et les adolescents.
